Equipment

  • 1 Medium Saucepan
  • 2 Medium Whisk
  • Measuring cups

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Dark Chocolate Chips
  • ½ cup Evaporated Milk
  • 2 t. Vanilla
  • 3 T. Butter If using salter butter, omit salt in recipe
  • ½ t. Salt* if using unsalted butter; if using salted butter – omit
  • 1 ½ c. Granulated sugar

Instructions

  • Into a saucepan, add:
    1 cup dark chocolate chips
    ½ cup evaporated milk
    ¼ teaspoon salt*
    1½ cups granulated sugar
Whisk together over medium heat, stirring until smooth. Within minutes the chocolate chips will melt, the sugar dissolve and all the ingredients will come together. Turn off heat and stir in the vanilla and butter.
Done within minutes and ready to serve!! It's that simple.
This recipe makes a thick and creamy, rich fudge sauce to be used for many desserts as a sauce on a plate, a drizzle or topping. Thin with additional milk as desired. Better to start thick and thin as desired than to make it too thin – you can’t go back!

Notes

Can easily be made ahead and reheated for a quick dessert topping or sauce.
Use other extract flavors for an interesting change of accent! Peppermint, orange, almond, etc.
